Benefits of Organic

There are so many reasons to choose organic! Not only are organic fruit and veg a really healthy choice, but they are also grown in ways that respect the environment. Foods that are grown according to the organic standards are nutritious, non-GMO, and safe to eat.

Nutritious

All of our products are nutrient dense. Many studies indicate that veggies and fruit that are grown organically offer up to 25% more nutrition than conventional.

Non-GMO

Our organic certification strictly prohibits the use of GMO seeds/products. This is important to know since there are no longer any requirements to label GMO products in Canada.

Safe to Eat

We do not use any chemical pesticides, heavy metal sprays, waxes, or food coatings. Choosing organic is the best way to ensure the safest, highest quality, unadulterated food to eat.

Better for the environment

Our farming practices are respectful of the environment and local ecosystem. We carefully plan our crop rotation and monitor our fields so that we are able to create strong growing conditions. When we have a product that cannot be used, we return it to the earth by tilling it back into the soil. By doing this, the nutrients of the plants go back into the soil. Our farming practices are regenerative because they help to improve soil health, protect water resources, and partner with nature.

By buying local organics, you can also help to ensure a smaller carbon footprint.

Shop at a Farmer’s Market
